Winter Warmth - Entertaining in the Cold

Just because it’s getting chilly doesn’t mean you can’t have friends and family over. In fact, staying warm in the colder months can often be the perfect excuse for a get-together with loved ones, and today we’re looking at how you can make any house party into a winter smash!

The Bingefest

Now’s the perfect time for a good old-fashioned TV binge. With just a few seats and couches, as well as some pillows and blankets, you can have a cosy night in with your mates. Best of all, you don’t need a big house for a good movie marathon, with smaller rooms often feeling more relaxed and fun.

The Fire Festival

If you have a backyard, there’s nothing quite like sitting around a fire with your friends and just letting the night roll on. You can usually find a reliable small outdoor fire pit for under $150, and there’s something timeless about just watching the flames keep you warm on a cold winter’s evening.

As the foodie culture becomes more mainstream, a lot of Australians are embracing the American potluck tradition, where everyone brings a plate of food to a party. This is especially fun in winter months, with a whole table of hot food a great way to keep the chill from the air and bring the warmth to your home.

Just because it’s getting dark and cold doesn’t mean you have to be a hermit. No matter what the weather, you can always find a way to bring out your home’s best qualities when having friends over.
