Keeping Winter Warm
We're officially in winter now, and with this one set to be one of the coldest in recent years, it's time to restyle to stay warm in the chilly season, which is why today we're looking at our top three tips to keep the cold out.
A surprising amount of heat escapes out our windows and doors, even if they're closed. Glass often lets the cold seep in, so cover windows with heavy curtains, and invest in a few door snakes to stop a chilly draught from getting in under your doors.
Cushions are King
A big fluffy cushion is a great way to hold onto your body warmth when sitting down, and they have the added benefit of not looking out of place when you're not using them. Rather than sheets and throw rugs, which often look messy if left on a couch, look at a few decorative additions to your furniture to make them a little more cosy.
Let There Be Light
Adding a few scented candles can do wonders to warm up a room, though not for the reason you might think. A candle's flame isn't enough to really heat anything, but a scented candle means you can keep windows and doors shut longer before getting a stale and musty odour, and also add to the ambience of the area, making it easier to stay cosied up for longer.
Of course, the first step to staying warm is always to have the right house, and with so many properties on offer, you can always talk to us to show you just what we've got.
